It’s all about the Retail Details – Medtrade Spring 2015 in Review

Posted on: April 22nd, 2015 by Rob Baumhover

HME Retailers,

Another Medtrade Spring has passed, and we have to say, every year keeps getting better and better! The VGM Retail Team had a fantastic time meeting with providers from all over the country (and a few from Canada as well) to talk about the hottest subject in the HME industry – RETAIL! Take a look at the pictures below to see a few snapshots of all the exciting things that happened during our Medtrade Spring week!

Our team had a great time conversing with attendees in our booth space and during our presentation sessions. Everyone was very interested in the potential revenue possibilties of adding retail to their business mix.

As tradition has it, I had the exciting opportunity to yet again judge the “Innovative Products” competition. This year, the competition included audience input through an ‘American Idol’ style voting system. It was fun to hear feedback from attendees and business owners about why they voted for certain products and how they felt these products could potentially be integrated into their product lines.

Our ‘Ideas in Retail’ booth space recreated an HME retail store. Our goal was to highlight how effective merchandising and design techniques can allow you to utilize the sales floor space you have, no matter how large or small.

Above you’ll see Maria Markusen, VGM Retail’s Director of Operations and Development, presenting during our “Starting with Retail or Expanding? It’s all about the Retail Details” educational session. The audience during our presentation (pictured below) was very interactive, making for a very enjoyable session.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to all attendees who took time out of their busy Medtrade schedules to visit our booth, come to our presentations or chat with us about your retail operations. Getting to interact with providers face to face is our favorite part of the job! Thanks again for making this a great Medtrade Spring and we look forward to seeing everyone again at Medtrade Fall!
